We are on the hunt for a sharp, detail-oriented Business Intelligence & Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. You will play a key part in transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that will guide our business decisions and contribute to our continued growth and success. This role demands close collaboration with diverse departments to fully grasp their data requirements and deliver top-notch analytical solutions that address real business challenges and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Data Management & Analysis:
- Collect, clean, and analyze large and intricate data sets from a wide range of sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and security throughout the process.
- Process and analyze data to uncover opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency, customer acquisition, cross-selling, upselling, retention, and maximizing customer value, in line with our business objectives.
• Insight Generation & Reporting:
- Develop and maintain informative dashboards, reports, and visualizations (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of data points to uncover underlying insights, translate these findings into actionable solutions that solve business pain points or drive business growth, and present them effectively to stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Commercial, R&D, to understand their unique data needs and provide actionable insights that support their initiatives and projects.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support various business initiatives and projects as needed, ensuring data-backed input for all strategic moves.
Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience in data analytics, data science or a similar role; Experience in Commodity Trading, Oil & Gas or a fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools, data analysis tools and software (e.g., Python), and a strong understanding of data pipeline, data wrangling, data transformation, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present it in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with business stakeholders. Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English is highly desirable.
