Responsibilities
• Fully support the daily cargo and logistics operation
• Liaise with buyers to ensure letters of credit or other trade finance instrument are issued as per the contract.
• Work closely with relevant parties on pre-loading preparation, including shipping instruction, vessel nomination, cargo loading plan and laboratory test arrangement.
• Liaise closely with logistics team and other stakeholders to efficient vessel operation, monitor the vessel loading progress, and to ensure timely presentation of documents so that all necessary documents will be obtained timely for custom clearing and discharge operations.
• Handle payment associated with service provided from third party logistics service providers.
• Communicate with logistics service providers on cargo delivery and import/export clearance matter
• Handle and validate demurrage and process payment or billing.
• Take financial responsibility for fixtures/voyage execution, and contracts, negotiating protective contract terms and conditions.
• Strive to optimize voyage efficiency, report results, and provide operational/customer follow up.
• Participate in collecting, sharing of freight market information across the global commercial team.
• Manage planning of inventory logistics between production plant and terminals, achieve optimization of the supply chain, between production center, ocean freight and storage hub.
Qualifications
• Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Shipping or related disciplines
• More than 5 years relevant experience of bulk cargo shipping, freight and chartering, gained in a trading company, broking, ship owners/operators, or company with shipping function.
• Able to build strong relationships with customers, freight forwarders, brokers, other key industry stakeholders as well as internal teams.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Able to work independently
• High proficiency in English
• Experience in supply chain planning and optimization is a plus
• Knowledge or experience in handling and using ERP system is a plus
